Aerodynamics Engineer (m/f/d) Wind Tunnel & Data Specialist for Airbus

• Analyze and assess aerodynamic characteristics of high agility fighter aircrafts
• Model and design aerodynamics datasets throughout the envelope for stability & control, performance and loads assessments
• Coordinate and execute wind tunnel projects including test requirements specification and test program setup
• Develop test and model concepts and specification and supervise external manufacturing of wind tunnel models
• Support instrumentation, calibration and in-house 3d printing of wind tunnel models
• Communicate and cooperate with all parties involved both internally and externally, coordinate suppliers
• Continuously strive for improvement to make our processes more efficient and to remain state of the art

• Completed studies in the field of Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable qualification
• Over 3 years of professional experience in aerospace engineering
• Proficient knowledge in aerodynamics and flight mechanics with an affinity to fighter aircraft is necessary
• Thorough knowledge about and experience in the application of measurement technology typically applied in the wind tunnel test environment is required
• Knowledge about typical wind tunnel topologies and their trade-offs is mandatory
• Hands-on attitude in the AeroLab and during wind tunnel tests as well as experience in model handling to be brought with
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally ( up to 4 weeks per year, respectively 2 weeks to the Netherlands, Germany and USA)
• Fluent in English
• Experience in CAD tools, preferably Catia V5 is a must have
• Good programming skills (Python, Matlab, Labview, mySQL) and familiarity with linux is needed
